How can I find out if there is a market online for a particular product?

I’d like to sew doll (Barbie) clothes and sell them online. How do I find out if I can find a niche in the market?

Do I need to develop different ideas and then test them out somehow?

the simple thing to do is to Google the product name then on the top of right side you will find an information like 1-10 of 200000 results this should give you an Idea of whether your product is popular or not. Then you may try adding keywords to your product and see.
