I want to know how exactly google trends work. Say, I need to know what exactly are the US people searching for in the ‘Health’ niche at this moment. What should I do to get this info?

Step 1
To start open up your browser and go to. From there type in a keyword that you want to search. I chose the term “dogs” as an example.
Step 2
Once you have typed in your term a graph will populate and show you one of two scales, there are two modes of scaling, relative and fixed. Basically the only difference between the two is the time frame that’s used to calculate the average. Both use 1.0 as an average baseline but fixed is usually representative of the specific year, where as relative represents multiple years.
Step 3
I selected the terms Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and choose to see a trends for all years. FYI Google trends goes back to 2004. What I found out was that Steve Jobs is destroying Bill Gates when it comes to searches. In addition people in India love searching for Bill Gates, where as people in the Us are searching more for Steve jobs than in India.
Step 4
This is yet another simple and great tool to use to check out what people are searching for and to drive traffic to your blog or to your web page. If you have any questions feel free to MSG me. I would be more than happy to help.
Hope it helps you. For more ifnormation
