19. Math Comment Spam

Blog Comment spam blocking plug-ins such as Akismet aren’t always able to eliminate all spam comments. So the solution is to implement multiple solutions and one of those is the Math Comment The Math Comment plug-in will request users to answer to a simple math problem such as 2+3 before allowing them to submit their comment. This will ensure the comment is being submitted by a human being and not a spam bot. By using this plug-in along side the Akismet you are going to eliminate 99% of all spam comments.

The AdSense Manager Wordpress plug-in is a great plug-in which makes it easier than ever to place and maintain Google AdSense ads on your blog. The plug-in is great because it automatically generates AdSense code for your blog and allows you to use widgets to position ads on your blog. Another great feature is the ability to limit the number of ads so you do not violate any TOS.

21. Easytube

The EasyTube plug-in easily allows Wordpress bloggers to embed YouTube and Google Videos using one simple tag. It also places a preview image of the YouTube videos in your RSS feed linked to the video. If you like the many who have struggled to get that video on your blog, this plug-in is for you. The EasyTube plug-in is the solution to easily implement a YouTube or Google Video on your blog.

22. Auto Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks

Old blog posts are notorious places for automated comment spam bots. In order to reduce spam on old posts, you can use the Auto Close Comments, Pingbacks and Trackbacks plugin. Simply install it, set the timeframe when you want comments to be closed on posts and the Auto-Close plug-in does the rest.


23. WP-Stats-Dashboard

The WP-Stats-Dashboard is a GREAT plug-in which allows you to easily monitor the traffic to your blog and also prevents you from a having to opening the blog stats manually (if you already have the wp-stats plug-in). This plug-in provides you with all sorts of stats, from traffic to page rank, views per day, referring urls and keyword searches which referred traffic. Any serious blogger who wants to be successful needs to have this plug-in.

24. SEO Title Tag

The SEO Title Tag plugin allows you to override the automated title tags that Wordpress sets for your blog posts and pages, so you can use keywords in your title tags that are far more search engine-friendly than the words in your actual post or page titles. SEO Title Tag makes is so easy to optimize the title tags across your WordPress blog. This not only affects your posts, but your home page and every title tag on your site!

25. WordPress Related Posts

This plug-in works great to keep readers interested in the content of your blog. It provides readers with links to other posts with similar keywords. When you use this plug-in, a list will appear at the end of each of your blog posts with a list of related posts. A similar plug-in is the Similar Posts plug-in.

This plug-in is particularly helpful for blogs that want to get indexed by search engines quickly.

27. Contact Form 7

Adding a contact form to your website is simple and effective. Rather than publicizing your email address and inviting spammers to clutter your inbox, use a contact form. This plug-in uses two spam filters, Akismet and CAPTCHA, to make sure you only receive legitimate inquiries from your contact form.

28. TweetThis

TweetThis is a great Wordpress plugin to help you increase the likelihood for visitors to your blog to share your posts through Twitter thereby increasing potential blog traffic. When you install the plugin, an invitation link is included at the end of your blog posts suggesting that readers “TweetThis” and share a link to the post they’re reading through their Twitter feed.
